suzySuzy Batiz, Founder and CEO of Poo-Pourri.  Poo-Pourri is a great product, a toilet spray that stops bathroom odor by creating a barrier of natural essential oils on the water’s surface. It’s one of the most brilliant, mirthful, and out-of-the box marketing campaigns ever devised.

Suzy sees her business as a living, breathing organism that needs to be raised and cared for and looked after, much as she would a child. In fact, Suzy has received numerous progressively eye-opening offers to purchase her company, but she has not been willing to sell because it hasn’t felt right. People have thought her crazy to turn down such offers—and sometimes she even wondered that herself—but her burgeoning, unruly teenaged business needed its Mama! And that’s what she tells Harvard Business School graduates when they ask her to speak!

is not only a Holy Fool but a true renegade!  She’s the author of the New York Times best seller Renegades Write the Rules.  She founded Digital Royalty in 2009 to help corporations, celebrities and sports entities humanize their brands online through social communication channels. Amy Jo has worked closely with world-renowned brands such as Hilton Worldwide, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal to successfully humanize their presence. Her motto: humans connect with humans, not logos.

Amy Jo has a social media following of more than a 1.1 million people and was named the third most powerful woman on Twitter by Forbes. Yet when she decided to exit the company she built (listen for the turning point story on the call), it was not with the typical megabuck tech sale but with concern for her team and a higher aim for technology. Her goal now is to elevate technology to do good in the world. Her new message:  The future of technology is the future of humanity!

The Honourable Zoe Tryon could have married a “lovely” Earl or Lord and lived in a castle.  But the Amazon called to her instead, inspiring her great passion to be a voice for the voiceless.  She has fallen in love with a people whose ancestral lands are being devastated by oil drilling, whose children are dying because their only source of water is poisoned.

Zoe’s fear of speaking has kept her from stepping up to the many speaking engagements that come her way.   Her first ever speech was to speak to a group of high net worth investors in London with a worldview markedly different from her own.  They invest in oil, after all. And her job was to begin a new conversation–because a new conversation is the first step in change. This was her first ever speech. She stood up.  She told her story. She had one scary moment where she went utterly and completely blank.  She stepped back to the lectern to look at her notes.  “Please excuse me. This is my first speaking engagement.”  Deep breath.  See what comes.  Step back in. Stay in the HomeZone™.

The organizer later wrote, “Yours was the outstanding speech from our two-day conference. Passion, credibility and pure energy . . . nobody else managed to so capture the audience and turn an entire room emotional!” Here’s the kicker. The best comment Zoe got was, “You disturbed me, I didn’t expect to be disturbed. I came here to hear about bonds and stocks and you talked about the impacts of the oil fields.” It started a new conversation!
